Tulare City School District, Early Childhood Program

Tulare City School District Early Childhood Program provides meaningful learning opportunities for children ages 3-5. With substantial support from First 5 of Tulare County, our School Readiness Project allows us to support approximately 700 students. TCSD offers a variety of preschool options to best meet the needs of the families within its community. TCSD offers two day a week programs for 3 year olds and 4 year olds, in both the morning and afternoon to accommodate parents’ schedules. The district also offers five day a week programs for 4 year old preschoolers.

Each one of our preschool programs within the district is language based and focuses on developing language in our youngest learners. We develop language skills through hands-on activities, positive staff to student interactions, as well as interactive parent meetings.

TCSD Early Childhood Program works tirelessly to ensure that all students’ individualized needs are met. We assist parents and students in understanding how to increase language development; improve gross and fine motor skills; as well as how to establish positive behavior routines in the classroom and in the home. Our focus as educators is to help every child succeed and transition into kindergarten seamlessly.

Transitioning to kindergarten can be an unfamiliar and daunting task for both students and parents. Therefore, the TCSD Early Childhood Department provides transition picture booklets to every single student transitioning into district TK/K programs the following year. The transition books provide pictures of key people & areas of the site the child will be attending the following year (principal, classroom, bathroom, cafeteria, playground, etc.). This helps them to become familiar with their new site and feel more confident with the transition.

Through each one of these programs, our district strives to raise up caring, creative, and confident children with a strong social-emotional and educational foundation. Their focus on building a strong foundation for children’s learning is truly inspiring. Recently, I had a university assignment related to child development, and I needed professional guidance to complete it on time. That’s when I found Affordable Assignments, which provided excellent Psychology Assignment Help. Their expert support made my work easier and improved my understanding of early education concepts.
