Ivanhoe School Readiness program has provided preschool and home base instruction in the Ivanhoe Community for over ten years. During that time, we have served over 700 children from the ages of 0 to 5. Because of our long partnership with First 5 Tulare County, and our extended presence in the community, we have become a part of many families’ lives.
With the belief that parents are a child’s first teacher, we visit our 0-3 families’ homes. During our bi-monthly visit, we teach parents different activities to work with their children. These activities include understanding the importance of reading to their child and the importance of language development. During the visit our home base liaison shares activities to reach developmental targets, helps parents access other resources, and may assist with linking our families to necessary screenings.

For families of 3 and 4-year olds, students attend a three hour a day program. This program is housed at Ivanhoe Elementary where the students learn skills to help prepare them for kindergarten. Students have the opportunity to learn both academic and social and emotional skills with a trained preschool teacher through art, play, singing, and student interaction. We also provide monthly parent meetings for our preschool children. We provide guest speakers, crafts, and activities that parents can take home and use with their child.

Programs like Ivanhoe School Readiness are exactly what early childhood development should look like. The home visit model for 0 to 3 year olds is particularly powerful — meeting families in their own environment builds trust and removes the barrier of travel for parents who may not have easy access to a centre. Teaching parents how to read with their children and support language development at home creates a foundation that no classroom alone can fully replace.
My older sibling is currently in university and recently used the best uml assignment help by experts for a software engineering module. Reading about this program reminded me how much the quality of early guidance shapes long-term learning outcomes at every stage — whether…
Being a Year 6 student means everyone expects you to be more independent with your learning, which is honestly quite a lot of pressure. I used to rely on my mum for every question I did not understand immediately. She encouraged me to try Primary Homework Help instead, so I could build confidence on my own. I was surprised by how well-organised the website is across all subjects. Finding information takes less than a minute and the explanations are always age-appropriate. I feel more capable now and rarely need to ask for help with basic homework questions. That independence feels really good honestly.
What a heartwarming initiative! The Ivanhoe School Readiness Program beautifully highlights something so many educators and parents overlook — that early childhood learning begins long before a child ever steps into a formal classroom. The home-visit model, where parents are treated as a child's first teacher, is incredibly powerful and research-backed. It reminds me of the core principles taught in early childhood education training, where understanding language development and developmental milestones is foundational. As someone who has worked through Online TEFL Assignment help resources while studying early language acquisition, I can say that the connection between strong language exposure in the 0–3 years and later academic success is undeniable. Programs like this one, which blend structured preschool learning with parent…
This is a wonderful example of how early childhood programs can make a lasting impact on families and communities. Supporting parents as a child’s first teacher while providing developmental resources, educational activities, and access to important services helps build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. The long-term commitment to the Ivanhoe community and the number of children served demonstrate the value of this initiative. Similarly, a high school level course helper can support students by providing guidance and resources that encourage academic growth and confidence.
