Happy New Year! Across the globe, many are participating in the tradition of beginning the New Year with a list of wishes in the hopes that better circumstances than the previous year will arise. And as we say goodbye to 2017 and look forward to 2018, there are many things at First 5 Tulare County to be excited about.
We will be releasing two Requests for Proposals in January, implementing a new five-year Strategic Plan to guide our funding decisions, and celebrating the 20-year anniversary of Proposition 10!
As we celebrate the partnerships and advocacy to improve outcomes for Tulare County’s youngest children, First 5 looks to new opportunities to have impact in the year ahead. Informed by our experience to date, brain research about the crucial early years, social science about programs that work, and community wisdom regarding parental strength and needs, First 5 Tulare County will work in partnership with those who share our aspirations for young children. We have much work to do, and together we can make 2018 the best year for children and families in Tulare County!
