Our School Readiness Program is designed to help families, schools and communities prepare children to enter school ready to succeed. Collaborative school-based programs and strategically linked services and programs were developed by each community to meet its specific needs. With $837,292 in First 5 Tulare funds and an $837,292 grant from First 5 California, First 5 Tulare’s School Readiness Program increased participants’ cognitive and general skills by 4% over the State’s average in the years 2004-2006.
