| | Tulare County Office of Education Ray Chavez is the Administrator for Tulare County Office of Education Childcare Program. As a Program Coordinator for Home Based and Parent Involvement Programs, he administered and monitored the Home Based Early Head Start/Head Start program. He organized and provided parent group orientations directed at indicating to parents their role, duties, and responsibilities for the Program Policy Council. He is a member of several in-house committees and a member of the Tulare County Local Child Care Planning Council. | |

| | As an Employment Program Representative for the State of California Employment Development Department, Mr. Chavez provided orientations to community groups and Proteus Job Training Program participants and recruited farm workers and unemployed workers for training programs. Mr. Chavez also served as a consultant to the Tulare County Asian American Womens Advancement Coalition.
As an administrator for the Tulare County Welfare Department, Mr. Chavez managed the Tulare District Office, the Food Stamp Program, and the In-Home Supportive Service program. As a social worker, he held positions as a Preschool Coordinator, Fair Hearings Officer, Adoptions Worker and Social Service Specialist. Mr. Chavez coordinated Welfare Department volunteers and the Southeast Asian Refugee Service Programs and maintained the County Resource Service Directory, which lists local area service resources.
