| | Tulare County Board of Supevisors
Supervisor Phillip Cox serves as Tulare County Supervisor, representing District Three which includes Visalia and surrounding areas.
Supervisor Cox is a lifelong Valley resident. He attended College of the Sequoias and has owned and operated two Visalia businesses for some time (Cox Sheet Metal since 1985, and Visalia Paintball Supply since 1997). | |

| | Before being elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2004, Cox was very involved in City of Visalia affairs. He served on the North Visalia Advisory Committee (1991-1998); was a member of the Visalia City Planning Commission (1998-2001); and served as a Visalia City Councilman (elected 2001). In that capacity, Cox served as Visalia’s vice mayor from 2004-2005.
Supervisor Cox is married to Connie Cox; the couple has eight children: Phillip II, Robert, Matthew, Kevin, Timothy, Elizabeth, Shawnna and Heidi. They also have one grandson, Gabriel. Cox is currently a member of Visalia Host Lions. He is a former scoutmaster, varsity coach, committee member and merit badge counselor for Boy Scouts of America.
Supervisor Cox represents the Board of Supervisors on the Tulare County Workforce Investment Board; the San Joaquin Valley Resource Conservation and Development Council; and the Kings/ Tulare Area Agency on Aging Governing Board. He also sits on the Tulare County Association of Governments (TCAG) board and the CSAC Administration of Justice Committee, and serves on the Tulare County First 5 Commission (Prop. 10). | |
